Avalign maintains a unique, multi-national supply chain for German Specialty Instruments. Designed and manufactured in our state-of-the-art German facility, our specialty surgical instruments are made to the highest quality and performance standards. Our U.S. facility handles private branding, supply chain management, and private label distribution for our hospital supply and distributor customers as well as orthopedic OEMs. This internship program provides practical work experience to develop your existing skillset, allows collaboration with key internal stakeholders, and supports the Finance and Supply chain /Operations departments to meet customers' expectations. Responsibilities will be under the supervision of the Finance /Supply Chain Manager.
The Business Intern will rotate through the following areas: Supply Chain/Operations • Support the Supply Chain Team with projects that contribute to business priorities. • Perform data entry as required for part maintenance, part attributes, etc. • Analyze Pricing and Margins, understand tariffs, dual sourcing and supplier change requests. • Support the Operations Team with projects that contribute to business priorities. • Projects may include GEMBA Board, Fulfillment, Staging, Inventory, Returns, etc. Customer Service • Shadow team in Customer Service to understand Sales Order Process Finance • Develop practical accounting skills, collaborate with experienced finance professionals, and gain exposure to the processes that support accurate and timely financial reporting. • Daily sales process (report creation & forecasting) • Financial reporting package (P&L review, Bowler review and financial forecasting)
Minimum Requirements: + Current student, Junior status (as of May 2026) or higher + Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Finance, Business or Operations Management. + Able to commute five days a week to the Avalign German Specialty Instrument site + Able to work full-time: 30-40 hours a week + Use of personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications: + Proficient computer skills and able to learn new programs + Established analytical and problem-solving skills + Ability to adapt to change and work directive + Ability to complete some moderately repetitive tasks
