About a role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive ESG Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support our Sustainable Development team with the implementation and management of ESG regulatory reporting processes across the organization. This role will play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate ESG data collection, internal coordination, and preparation of the annual Sustainability Statement in alignment with evolving regulatory requirements. Main responsibilities include:
- Assisting in managing ESG regulatory reporting analyst and compliance, including tracking progress, preparing status reports, and maintaining documentation
- Supporting the implementation of project governance and risk management processes, and ensuring internal control requirements for ESG data are met
- Compiling and verifying ESG data from various teams for external reports, and responding to data-related queries
- Collaborating with IT and other internal teams to embed internal control requirements in data collection tools
This role suits candidates with strong attention to detail, experience with sustainability or ESG data, and excellent communication and coordination skills. Knowledge of internal controls for data governance and experience in change management and stakeholder engagement are preferred.
Key responsibilities:
Project Management Support
- Assist in managing the ESG regulatory reporting and compliance project, supporting the establishment of company-wide systems and processes
- Assist in track project progress and in preparing periodic status reports for senior management
- Prepare meeting minutes and documentation for senior-level project meetings
- Work closely with the project management team to support the implementation of robust project governance and risk management processes, ensuring timely escalation of issues to the relevant stakeholders
ESG Data Coordination and Preparation
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on ESG KPIs in scope for reporting and provide timely support to internal stakeholders
- Assist functional and segment teams in understanding ESG KPI reporting requirements and internal control expectations
- Compile ESG data from various teams for inclusion in external reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Respond to data-related queries and escalate unresolved issues to the project manager as needed
- Work as needed with the IT teams implementing ESG data collection tools to ensure internal control requirements as defined for ESG data are embedded
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field such as ESG Reporting, Sustainability Consulting, Compliance, Data Management or a similar role related to ESG data
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and adapt to new requirements
- Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization
- Ability to escalate issues promptly and appropriately.
- Prior experience working with sustainability or ESG data is essential
- Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of internal controls for data governance would be good to have
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across functions and geographies
- Requirement: fully fluent in spoken and written English
- Advantageous: competency in an additional foreign language for example: French/ German/ Portuguese/ Mandarin/ Russian/ Hindi
