The Community Lead is responsible for the delivery of meaningful experiences on the bike for RCC Members. Your mission is to bring the Rapha brand to life by localizing Rapha’s retail and community strategy through a diverse program of rides, events, and activations. By serving as the face of Rapha in your city, you attract new members to the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) ensuring the Clubhouse experience drives RCC and Community engagement.
2. Accountabilities (What the role delivers)
RCC Experience & Ride Programming
● World-class ride calendar: Design and deliver a robust, engaging, and diverse calendar of rides in line with the company framework that attracts both committed RCC Members and allows new riders to experience the RCC offering.
● Events & activations: Plan and execute high-impact special events and regional activations (e.g., W100, FAR) that strengthen community bonds and drive brand exposure. Ideate and execute a tiered calendar of Clubhouse and "out-of-home" events (Tier 1-3) designed to increase footfall and Clubhouse revenue.
● Ambassador & ride leader management: Recruit, coordinate, and support a high-quality team of local ride leaders and brand ambassadors to ensure all on-bike experiences meet Rapha’s world-class standards. Ensure all ride leaders adhere to regulations and brand standards.
● Clubhouse experience: Based in the Clubhouse, you will work closely with the Clubhouse Manager to ensure the RCC presence and energy within the Clubhouse are consistently aligned with brand expectations.
● RCC growth & retention: Actively drive RCC membership through open rides and proactive clienteling of lapsed members. Use PowerBi to track RCC Members and Community growth.
Digital Presence & Community Engagement
● Social media: Drive brand exposure by creating, editing and sharing high-quality, engaging social media content that equips RCC Members and the wider local community with key information relating to the RCC offering attracts the local community to the Rapha Cycling Club.
● Multi-channel communication: Alongside social media, create & edit engaging RCC Newsletters to be sent to members in line with global brand guidelines.
● Local market insight: Build meaningful partnerships relevant to the local market and stay current with local trends and competitor activity to keep Rapha at the forefront of the sport.
● Partnerships, ambassadors & network: Identity potential partnerships in the metro, engage with local influencers and ambassadors to enhance the brand and deliver best in class cycling experiences. Network regularly to seek new partnerships, collaborations & expand your network in the world of cycling.
Planning & Analysis
● Plan rides & events strategically, on a moving 18-month basis following global brand guidelines
● Plan & spend within your clubhouse budget to execute the community calendar
● Analysis of your metro, audience & community base using Power Bi Reports to make sound strategic decisions
● Analysis of your Clubhouses social media performance and reacting to improve based on data
● Provide your Clubhouse Manager & Regional Community Manager with community trade & lessons learned reports, reporting on Community KPI's on a weekly [or as required] basis
● Analyse & react to feedback from NPS scores to improve the experience for your community & metro following attendance at a Rapha ride, activation or event
● Use company tools e.g. EASOL to monitor sign-ups & conversion
● Manage back end of booking platforms and software to maximise data collection & clean data for future analysis
