Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicate on a regular cadence with operations as well as product line managers
- Maintaining and evaluation of customer demand forecast as well as constrained production forecasts on behalf of customer-facing product management team
- Represents manufacturing with Western Customers under the direction of product line management team.
- Produces customer documentation in support of product change notifications, product qualifications, and line / factory expansion qualification
- Cost / benefit analysis of NPPV requests; assessment of new capital investments
- Coordination of cost reduction roadmaps with operations & supply chain team
- Liaising with the customer facing team to manage production prioritization in times of operational or material constraints
- Partnering with reliability and quality engineering teams to assist with failure identification & analysis and prepare impact assessments and reports
Education & Experience
- Master/PhD in materials science/physics/other relevant field or equivalent experience
- Well versed in the use of statistical analysis techniques
- Experience maintaining and evaluating forecasting modules for both finished goods and raw materials
- Analytical problem solving and failure analysis skills
- Capable of managing multiple projects
- Use of Oracle & Agile databases and the ability to design and generate custom reports
- Strong spoken and written communication skills (must be fluent in spoken & written English)
- Experience communicating with external tier 1 customers preferred.
Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across geographically separated teams in Asia, Europe, and North America
- Valid passport with no known restrictions on travel to Asia, Europe or North America
Working Conditions
- This position is onsite
- May require occasional off-site meetings or international travel
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job including during off-hours
- May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the customer and internal team needs
