REQ13995 Assistant Manager, Restaurant (Open)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Manager, Restaurant is responsible for assisting the Manager, Restaurant to achieve the successful implementation, development and maintenance of all operational procedures, standards and goals within individual business unit. Responsibility also lies in maintaining the business operation in the direct absence of the manager. Assistance in team participation, leadership, innovation, financial evaluation and business development, while ensuring optimum quality service to customers at all times in a corporative work environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researches, understands and participates in planning process regarding guest needs
- Delivers effectively in customer specifications within the team’s/ organization’s business plans
- Coaches and mentors colleagues to overcome difficulty in meeting customer service standards
- Use the organisation’s systems and technology to monitor progress in achieving product/service targets and standards
- Seeks and uses customer feedbacks to improve provision of products/services
- Maximizes team synergy to achieve desired productivity
- Taps into others’ skills, experiences and creativity
- Coach others to allow those who are able, to take responsibility for tasks and outcomes
- Work effectively with those outside of formal line authority to achieve organisational goals
- Reflect organisational plans in personal goals and plans
- Maintain consistency in performance across varying conditions

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
3 – 5 years working experience with minimum 2 year in Supervisor position
Education
- Preferably a Degree/Higher Diploma holder in Hospitality Business Management
Skills / Competencies
- Strong communication skill in English and Chinese
- Computer literate in Microsoft software (e.g. PowerPoint, outlook)
- Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
Advantageous Skills
- Excellent interpersonal / presentation skills are preferred
