REQ14670 Officer, First Aid & Fire Safety (Open Date: 19/05/2026)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Officer, First Aid & Fire Safety is responsible for execution and conducting all basis tasks related to First Aid, Fire Safety and Emergency Response in all properties. Assist the Coordinator/Senior Coordinator, Fire Safety & Emergency Response in all major training related to First Aid, Fire Safety and staff induction program. The Officer, First Aid & Fire Safety will also assist in all duties related to Fire Safety and Emergency Team in the completion of routine site inspections and in other tasks as required.
Being a part of the Emergency Response Team (members) of all properties, this position has to lead the team when an accident and or an incident is related to First Aid, Fire and other emergency situations. Participating in all Fire Safety and First Aid drill and exercise, and other emergency drill related to the Company safety standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to and promote property fire safety and health and safety requirements. Actively participate in health and safety activities to ensure that workplace hazards are minimized and the health and safety of all employees is valued.
- Deliver a best practice Fire Safety & Response and First Aid service to staffs, contractors, and patrons in a 24/7 environment, on a rotating shift basis or other time frame when necessary. Maintain accurate records of First Aid, Fire Safety and Training activity in accordance with procedures.
- Assist in health surveillance programs and other programs relative to employees’ health and well-being, in line with legislative and company/property requirements.
- Conduct the ordering, replacing of first aid stocks and inspection/maintenance of first aid equipment.
- Adhere to and promote a broad range of Fire Safety and First Aid procedures and be aware of and act in accordance with Security Operations/Fire Safety and Emergency management instructions and requirements
- Assist with relevant site inspections and promptly report and/or rectify any actual or potential Fire Safety, Health and Safety hazards to superiors.
- Use cultural awareness and understanding whilst maintaining effective standards of written and verbal communication with staffs and customers in the workplace.
- Assist and conduct in the delivery of fire prevention and safety promotion activities, training, inspections, recommendations and guidance.
- Report any fire safety violations to Security/Fire Safety and Emergency Management and related departments, with and if necessary determine to suspend any on-going work that could put the company in risk (including but not limited to infrastructure and human life).
- Issue Hot Work Permit according to the Fire Team Standard Procedures.
- Response as a team work to any emergency in the properties - ERT (Emergency Response Team)
- Perform other duties as directed by the superiors or the delegated authority, in accordance with all Policies and Procedures, laws and regulations, applicable to the Department and the Company/properties.
- Adhere and execute to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Ensure Fire Safety and Emergency targets are met, including:
- Development of stated Fire Safety, First Aid and Training management systems and plans.
- Development and implementation of related training programs and materials, including competent assessment tools for key stake holders.
- Be compliant with relevant statutory regulations and directions issued by related statutory bodies.
- Ensure reports and investigations are completed in a timely manner.
- Participate in any Policies related to Company Crises Management Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- Certificate in Adult First Aid course or above
- Relevant industry experience including treating and managing emergency first aid
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin Languages
- Training qualifications an advantage
- Knowledge of Fire prevention and Safety an advantage
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of specialised first aid equipment including
- Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and Oxy-Viva Resuscitators
