

Primary Scheduled Hours: per diem, variable 12-hour shifts
Job Summary:
Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff, and medical staff. Implements directions from the physicians and nursing staff. Handles clerical duties on nursing unit, including answering telephones, relaying messages, keeping records and directing visitors. May assist in patient care and order supplies.

Education Background and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education:
High school graduate of equivalent.
Nursing Assistant Certified OR EMT Certification
Required Licensure / Certifications:
Active Washington state Nursing Assistant license or EMT Certification.
Required Experience:
Nursing Assistant or EMT experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year experience in an Emergency Department hospital preferred.

Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation in increments increases annually.
