Clinic Patient Access and Scheduling Representative II - Lakewood Physical Therapy - (Full Time, 8a - 4:30p)101 Truman Medical CenterJoin our team as the friendly face (and voice!) of patient access at Truman Medical Center. As a Clinic Patient Access & Scheduling Representative, you'll handle everything from check-in and scheduling to insurance verification and patient flow. You’ll also lead by example—training new staff, improving processes, and helping keep our clinic running smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Welcome and check in patients, gather and verify demographic and insurance info
Schedule and maximize clinic appointments (target: 90%+ schedule utilization)
Verify insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) and explain coverage to patients
Collect co-pays and reconcile payments accurately
Support billing and documentation processes
Provide top-notch service via phone and in person
Mentor new team members and assist with training and special projects

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience in patient access, scheduling, or a similar role
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Comfortable mentoring and training new staff
Proficient with computers and scheduling systems
Bonus Points
Medical terminology knowledge
College coursework or training experience
