About the role
The Senior Trade Marketing Manager – Wellness plays a critical role in driving commercial success for Haleon’s OTC portfolio, with a key focus on Panadol across Malaysia. Sitting within the Commercial/Trade Marketing function, this role partners closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, and cross-functional teams to translate brand strategy into impactful in-market execution across key channels including Modern Trade and General Trade.
Reporting to the Head of Trade Marketing, the role is responsible for shaping the trade strategy, leading execution of the commercial calendar, and ensuring strong return on investment across all below-the-line activities.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead development and execution of the 3-year Trade Marketing strategy for OTC Wellness, with innovation as a key growth driver
Own and deliver the annual commercial and promotional calendar across channels, aligning with brand and sales priorities
Drive category growth through effective shopper marketing, in-store excellence, omnichannel activation, and customer-specific programs
Manage trade investments and budgets, ensuring optimal ROI and alignment with business objectives
Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes across all trade and promotional activities
Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, using data and insights to continuously optimize execution
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience in Trade Marketing and/or Sales within FMCG/CPG, with strong exposure to channel execution and customer engagement
Demonstrated ability to manage commercial calendars, promotions, and trade investments with clear ROI accountability
Strong understanding of category management, shopper behaviour, and in-store execution strategies
Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment
Solid analytical capability with experience translating data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Commercially driven mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Experience in OTC, healthcare, or pharmacy channels is an added advantage.
Agile and resilient, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results under pressure
