Safety Specialist

SUMMARY

The Safety Specialist I provides leadership and operational support for health and safety processes within assigned areas of the facility. As part of a collaborative team of safety professionals, this role partners with departments across the plant to support the organization’s journey toward zero injuries. The position assists with the development, implementation, and administration of safety programs, policies, and initiatives that ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture

Key Responsibility
Lead and support site‑level health and safety initiatives within assigned areas while actively partnering with plant departments and divisions to drive a zero‑injury culture. Contribute to the development, execution, and measurement of safety programs, objectives, and annual goals as part of a collaborative Safety and Health team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Three to five years of experience in Safety and Health within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standards
• Ability to conduct audits, investigations, and root‑cause analysis
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• OSHA 30‑hour General Industry certification preferred
• ISO‑45001 auditing experience preferred
• Certifications in First Aid/CPR, PIT, LOTO, ergonomics, or behavior‑based safety are a plus
