As a Product Manager – Head, Neck and Otology Portfolio, Upstream Marketing, you will be a critical member of the team, providing thought leadership and contributing to definition and development of the Head, Neck and Otology portfolio roadmap and product portfolio. You will work closely with Project Management, Downstream Marketing, R&D, Core Team Leads and other cross-functional and cross-divisional business partners to develop new products. Your activities will include gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback, defining customer needs, evaluating business cases and portfolio project prioritization to grow the business. In coordination with Marketing leadership, you will actively contribute to portfolio business strategy and the long-term vision by analyzing competitors’ strategies, pricing and market trends and gaining customer insights to inform portfolio and product strategy. In addition, you will analyze competitive information and recommend product enhancements or developments.
This role is based in Jacksonville, FL.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Formulate and review corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for the head, neck and otology portfolio.
Conduct competitive product analysis and market research of customer behavior to unearth unmet needs.
Determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.
Develop production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle.
Work with other functions to finalize product specifications. Define the strategic direction for the Head, Neck and Otology portfolios, including key investments needed to drive global market share gains.
Analyze market opportunities and risks, presenting the analysis to the ENT leadership team and recommending strategies to drive competitive differentiation.
Represent the needs of ENT customers within Head, Neck and Otology Product Development teams to create performance and launch requirements.
Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and physicians and gather Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback around projects and potential projects to complement product development and positioning strategies.
Develop desired claims in partnership with Downstream Marketing and drive alignment around supporting data requirements with project team members, to ensure an impactful go-to-market strategy.
Create accurate launch forecasts and financial models, working cross-functionality to ensure availability of products within acceptable inventory levels.
Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.
Travel requirement: 20-30%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Nice to Have
Demonstrated success with influence management and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
Proven experience with achieving results through leadership and project management
Medical device background and experience working with physicians
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
