Opportunity for a 10 month secondment as a commercial Finance Analyst.
Position Purpose
The Commercial Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery commercial insights into business performance, providing effective business partnering and supporting business outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the team to partner with managers across divisions by fostering a ‘trusted advisor and partner’ relationship by providing value added insight and analysis to support their key decisions and objectives.
- Proactively provide financial and non-financial data analysis and modelling, to drive business insights which improve business performance, from disparate data sources and owners
- Understand the business strategy and support initiatives critical to delivering the strategy
- Manage the month end, planning and forecasting cycles including monitoring key internal and external parameters, and analysing the financial impact of emerging priorities, key risks and opportunities
- Support business case development from inception to implementation, including co-ordinating finance teams to achieve business case approval
- Provide support for the AER submission and annual AER Regulatory Information Notice (RIN) processes.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and change management across the business
Qualifications, Certifications and Licences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
- Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent relevant experience
- Master level skills with excel data manipulation (eg macros etc)

- Specialised professional with demonstrated experience in a similar / professional role including but not limited to the following industries; Construction, Consulting, Energy /
- Electrical, Financial Services, Utilities.
