Job Description:
HedgeServ’s Global Technology team is seeking a Process Automation Associate for a full-time temporary role (approximately 12–24 months). This role is an exciting opportunity to focus on workflow automation and process improvement across internal departments (Procurement, FinOps, IT). HedgeServ is looking for a hands-on problem solver who can develop simple automation solutions (using Python and tools like Power Automate) to streamline reporting, data handling, and project coordination tasks. The role involves a mix of technical development and light project coordination, in close collaboration with various teams. It’s ideal for someone with a few years of experience who is eager to experiment, build prototypes, and make an immediate impact by improving how we work.
Key Responsibilities:
Workflow Automation: Identify manual or time-consuming workflows across Procurement, FinOps, and IT that could be improved with automation. Streamline processes by developing solutions that reduce manual effort and error (e.g. scripting data transfers, setting up automated notifications).
Prototype Development: Design and build automation prototypes using Python and platforms like Microsoft Power Automate. Develop scripts/bots to automate data processing and reporting (for example, consolidating Excel-based financial reports or detecting anomalies in spend data). Continuously test and refine these tools to ensure they deliver practical value.
Project Coordination Support: Help maintain project momentum during the coverage period by coordinating and organizing essential meetings (such as sprint planning or quarterly reviews), tracking action items, and sending timely follow-up reminders. Leverage automation, simple AI tools, or AI Agents where appropriate to streamline coordination tasks - for example, using AI-powered agents for scheduling, generating automated reminder emails, or producing basic reports from JIRA data.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in Finance, Procurement, and IT, as well as the internal RPA (Robotic Process Automation) team. Gather requirements, incorporate feedback on prototypes, and ensure your solutions align with business needs. Throughout the project, document your work and share knowledge with team members to enable a smooth transition when the contract period ends.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Programming & Automation Skills: Proficiency in Python is required – able to write clean scripts for data manipulation and task automation. Familiarity with workflow tools like Microsoft Power Automate (or similar RPA platforms) and basic knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS) for automation is highly valued.
Data & SQL: Comfort working with data from spreadsheets and databases. Ability to write SQL queries and perform data transformations is important for building effective automations and reports.
Excel & Finance Knowledge: Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, basic macros/VBA) are a strong plus. Experience or familiarity with Finance/FinOps processes (such as budgeting, expense tracking, or financial reporting) will help you quickly understand and improve the workflows you’ll be automating.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Demonstrated ability to analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose creative solutions. A proactive, self-starting attitude is crucial – you should be excited to try new approaches (including learning to use new technologies or simple AI tools) to solve problems.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills in English. Able to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, gather requirements, and explain your solutions in clear, simple terms. Good organization and time management skills to juggle development tasks with some coordination duties.
Education & Experience: 2 - 4 years of professional experience in automation engineering, process automation, or software development is required. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Benefits:
Attractive compensation package including extensive set of benefits, such as platinum health insurance, sport membership, food vouchers, employee assistance program, etc.
25 vacation days per year.
Additional vacation days with 1 added for every year in the company (up to 3 additional days).
Flexibility in working hours and locations (WFH available).
Professional environment with great development opportunities.
Additional Information:
While this is a temporary contract position, you will be fully integrated into the Global Technology team during your tenure, working on meaningful automation projects that can have lasting impact. If you are a tech-savvy innovator looking to make processes better and faster, we encourage you to apply.
