Commercial Manager (maternity cover) Reports to: Head of Commercial UK Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday hybrid-working with some travel to London-based customer sites Salary: £49,000 to £55000 plus company pension, incentive scheme and benefits About the role... In this role, you’ll… • Own the day-to-day performance of key national customer accounts, delivering sales, margin, and KPI targets. • Build strong, trusted relationships with customer contacts across buying, supply chain, technical, and finance. • Deliver joint business plans, proactively identifying risks and opportunities and taking action. • Stay close to the numbers—using data and insight to guide decisions and drive performance. • Support category reviews, product launches, range changes, and promotions with strong execution. • Work cross-functionally with category, innovation, operations, and finance to meet customer needs. • Grow your commercial capability, taking on increasing ownership and complexity over time. You can do this if you… • Have experience in a commercial, customer-facing role within FMCG, fresh food, or a retail-facing business. • Understand core commercial metrics like sales, margin, and forecasting—and enjoy working with data. • Are a confident communicator who builds rapport and manages relationships effectively. • Are organised, reliable, and detail-focused, with strong follow-through. • Enjoy working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. • Bring curiosity, energy, and a willingness to learn and challenge constructively. • Take ownership and are motivated to grow your capability and impact.
