Job Description:
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading a team of FPGA FAEs to drive demand creation activities.
- Responsible for driving team to achieve the KPIs.
- Building relationships with key decision makers of customers.
- Familiarize with the latest technologies in FPGA and Acceleration domains like AI/ML by attending supplier training in person and via conference calls.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on FPGA solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to FPGA systems.
- Provide in-depth technical support to customers in their selection and use of Arrow PLD lines development tools, silicon and IP products that ensure design wins for Arrow.
- Stay updated on the latest FPGA technologies and trends.
- Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs. Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to facilitate solutions for customers. Apply technical knowledge to influence designs utilizing solution selling.
- Be the first point of contact for customers in resolving any technical support issues while working with PLD silicon, tool and IP products, provide onsite technical support.
- Identify key relationships amongst decision makers within suppliers and customers.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with Engineering & Marketing teams to resolve customer issues, product enhancements.
- Collaborate with field and factory resources to develop and deliver technical proposals to customer project managers, engineering managers, system architects and design engineers.
- Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and QBR. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions.
- Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting to promote demand creation. Technical calibrations & research with sales & other Arrow depts. & Suppliers in support of the customer design.
- Provide regular feedback to supplier field sales and factory experts on the needs of the customers and align with corporate goals.
What We Are Looking For
Education Qualification: BE/BTech/ME/MSc in Electronics and Telecommunications or equivalent
Technical core expertise
- FPGA Architecture & RTL: Profound knowledge of FPGA (Agilex, Stratix 10, Cyclone V/10)
- Mastery of HDL (Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog).
- Expertise in the Quartus Prime design suite (Pro and Standard editions) or Equivalents
- System-Level Design: * Experience with high-speed serial interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes) and memory controllers (DDR3/4/5).
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware at the board level, including signal integrity and power delivery issues
Professional & "Sales-Engine" Experience
- Experience Level: Typically 8 to 10+ years of direct hardware design or FAE experience. Experience of managing a team is an advantage.
- Demand Creation: Arrow prioritizes candidates who understand "Solution Selling"—identifying how products can solve a customer’s specific bottleneck better than a competitor (like AMD/Xilinx).
- Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with the broader Arrow line card, including power management (TI, Analog Devices) and memory (Micron, Winbond), to create a "complete" system solution for the client.
Specialized Skill Sets (The 2026 Edge)
- AI/ML Acceleration: Experience using the FPGA AI Suite or OpenVINO to implement edge AI workloads.
- Embedded Systems: Proficiency in Nios V (RISC-V) or ARM-based SoC FPGAs, including C/C++ coding and Linux OS integration. Or Equivalent
- DSP Knowledge: Using tools like DSP Builder or MATLAB/Simulink for signal processing applications (vital for radar, wireless, and optical networking) or Equivalent
Soft skills
- Customer Facing: candidate must be comfortable presenting technical roadmaps to CTOs and lead engineers.
- Problem Solving: Possess The ability to handle "line-down" technical crises or complex debugging sessions at a customer site.
- Strategic Planning: Working with the Arrow Sales Team to manage the "opportunity funnel"—tracking a project from initial concept to mass production.
