In this role, you'll:
Deliver accurate monthly and statutory reporting across the Transport portfolio. You’ll prepare internal, external and regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, relevant legislation and NSW Treasury requirements.
You’ll analyse large and complex data sets, produce clear and well-structured supporting workpapers and contribute to technical accounting advice.
You’ll complete balance sheet reconciliations, month end journals and interagency reconciliations to support accurate
eliminations across agencies. You’ll maintain reconciliation applications (without being a system specialist), and work with significant data across different transport agencies.
You’ll operate in a fast paced environment, manage competing priorities and contribute to strengthened financial governance and process improvement.

About you
You have hands-on experience preparing a full set of statutory financial statements including note disclosures.
You’re an analytical problem solver with strong financial reporting skills and experience working with large, complex data sets. You can identify inconsistencies, interpret accounting standards and relevant legislations, and translate data into clear insights and reliable reporting outputs.
You’re confident in Excel, comfortable managing reconciliation tools and have experienced in month end processes and balance sheet accounting. You have strong attention to detail and apply a structured approach, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
You collaborate effectively with diverse teams, adapt well to changing priorities and bring a proactive mindset. You hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting (or related discipline) and are a full member of CA or CPA — or actively working toward it.
