Endeavors is seeking an Employment Attorney to join our in-house legal team. As an independent contributor, you will collaborate with the Chief Legal Officer, People Operations, and business leaders to ensure Endeavors remains compliant, consistent and mission focused.

Key Responsibilities
Advise on employment matters including hiring, termination, performance management, and workplace accommodation.
Provide guidance on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA).
Partner with People Operations to address employee relations issues with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Respond to agency charges and pre-litigation matters.
Draft, review, and update employment policies, procedures, and training materials.
Support workplace investigations, including assessing risk and recommending next steps with sensitivity and thoroughness.
Contribute to initiatives that strengthen compliance and promote a respectful workplace culture.
Provide occasional support on contract review and related matters, as needed.
Coordinate with outside employment counsel on employment litigation matters.
Required Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. (Texas Bar preferred)
Minimum 5 years of employment law experience, either in-house or law firm;
Solid command of both federal and multi-state employment regulations
Effective communication skills including ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance for non-lawyers
Sound judgment, discretion, and integrity - especially when navigating sensitive workforce matters
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Commitment to Endeavors’ mission of driven by faith to serve those in need
Preferred Experience
In-house experience supporting a multi-state employer
Experience partnering closely with People Operations on employee relations matters
Familiarity with nonprofit, healthcare, or human services environments
Experience reviewing and advising on commercial contracts
