STAFF ACCOUNTANT – OKLAHOMA CITY
The Staff Accountant will provide senior staff level accounting assistance to the Trisura Specialty Insurance Company team. Primary focus and job responsibilities will pertain to the general ledger, account reconciliations, and other insurance and financial reporting requirements
As an integral member of the team, you will bring • Proven ability to work within a team in a demanding and fast-paced environment with competing and sometimes changing priorities; • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines; • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to both senior personnel and external third parties; • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment; • Proven analytical skills and problem-solving skills; • Strong organization and planning skills, with demonstrated project management skills; • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-review; • Strong interpersonal skills;
Responsibilities • Produce, analyze and present financial data, including program administrator and reinsurance reports; • Reconcile various general ledger accounts and financial reports; • Assist with the documentation and development of internal controls; • Assist with third party service provider requests including external and internal auditors; • Assists in the development, testing and implementation of systems used for the generation and reporting of financial data, regarding program administrator, third party administrators and reinsurance; • All other duties assigned
Qualifications • Previous experience in a professional level accounting or finance role. Public accounting and or insurance industry experience preferred but not required; • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or closely related field (required); • CPA certification: maintaining Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements (preferred but not required); • Skilled in Microsoft Suite; • Experience with NetSuite accounting software; preferred but not required;
