We’re seeking a CNC Machinist with strong experience operating and machining precision components on multi-axis lathe equipment. This role is best suited for someone with hands-on experience using Mazak machines, Mazatrol controls, and rotary milling processes in a tight-tolerance manufacturing environment. The right person will be detail-oriented, technically capable, and committed to producing high-quality precision parts safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate multi-axis CNC lathe machines to produce precision components to print

Run Mazak MSY equipment and work with Mazatrol controls in a production machining environment

Perform machining operations involving turning, rotary milling, drilling, boring, and related processes

Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and part specifications to ensure accurate machining

Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment

Make machine offsets and minor program adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency

Monitor machine performance, cutting conditions, and part quality throughout production runs

Perform setup changes, tool changes, and routine adjustments to support efficient production flow

Identify and report issues related to tooling, programming, material, machine condition, or part quality

Maintain clean and organized work areas while following shop safety and quality procedures

Work closely with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve machining issues and improve output

Support production goals while maintaining tight tolerance and finish requirements
Required Qualifications

Experience operating CNC multi-axis lathe equipment

Experience with Mazak MSY machines

Experience using Mazatrol controls

Strong background in precision machining

Experience with rotary milling and related multi-function machining operations

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and machining instructions

Strong understanding of machining tolerances, feeds, speeds, tooling, and part inspection

Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and maintain production standards in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with setup in addition to machine operation

Ability to make basic edits or adjustments at the control

Background in high-precision manufacturing environments such as aerospace, medical, defense, or similar industries
