As an Associate Cloud Database Platform Engineer, you will work within the Database Platforms product area to design, develop, deploy and maintain enterprise database platforms. The Expertise and Skills You Bring
0–3 years of experience working with databases or infrastructure in academic projects, internships, or early professional roles (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
Interest in automation and scripting, with introductory experience in Python, Shell, Java projects or self-learning.
Foundational knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, with hands-on exposure through coursework, labs, or projects.
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, or similar, with eagerness to learn and apply best practices.
Experience with AI code assist tools such as Github CoPilot and VS Code or Cursor is a big plus.
Ability to learn quickly and follow established engineering best practices and standard operating procedures.
Exposure to monitoring and alerting concepts, with a willingness to learn how to build and maintain reliable, highly available systems.
Understanding incident management fundamentals and readiness to participate in on-call rotations with guidance and mentorship.
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with openness to feedback and continuous improvement
Bonus Skills
Exposure to database virtualization concepts (e.g., Delphix) through training, coursework, or self-study is a plus.
Basic awareness of data privacy and PII masking concepts is a plus.
Academic projects, certifications, or coursework related to public cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) are beneficial.
Familiarity with databases (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Yugabyte, CockroachDB) through learning or experimentation is a plus.
