The Telecommunications Analyst provides technical support for Department of Defense (DoD) clients through assessments, data analysis, mission assurance activities, and documentation development. This role supports telecommunications, information technology (IT), and operational technology (OT) dependency mapping and risk analysis efforts to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen mission readiness. The position requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location:
This is a hybrid position based in Dahlgren, Virginia, with an expected schedule of four days in the office and one day remote.
What You Will Do:
- Support telecommunications, IT, and OT dependency mapping and mission assurance activities for DoD clients.
- Conduct assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities affecting assets, missions, and critical infrastructure.
- Develop reports and documentation with clear, practical, risk-based recommendations.
- Review telecommunications and data communications policies, directives, and guidance to support project execution.
- Analyze complex technical issues related to communications networks and service delivery.
- Participate in meetings, working groups, conferences, and other project activities as needed.
- Complete assignments on time while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to support multiple project priorities.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–10 years of experience in IT, networking, telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- Experience with DoD or Department of the Navy telecommunications or data communications networks is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of DoD organizational structure and processes.
- Knowledge of DoDAF.
- Working knowledge of DoD IT networks, enclaves, DISN, and DODIN.
- Ability to identify vulnerabilities affecting communications facilities and service provisioning.
- Working knowledge of telecommunications-related laws, policies, directives, and instructions.
- Working knowledge of radio wave propagation and frequency spectrum bands.
- Understanding of cyber threats and mitigation strategies.

Reporting Relationships:
The incumbent will work with project leadership and client stakeholders in support of assigned technical activities and has no direct reports.
Working Conditions:
Travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) may be required up to approximately 25% of the time.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. A valid driver’s license and current passport are also required.
Pay Range:
$90,000 to $110,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by applicable law.
