Hours of Work :Biweekly Sat. 8a-8p (12 hrs. biweekly) HCA (CR43)
The Job Responsibilities are as follows:
- Following client care plan and delivering high quality client care.
- Preparing meals and snacks for clients according to the meal plan.
- Using Catalyst system while providing assistance with medications to clients on time according to Excel Policies and procedures and checking/receiving medication that arrive while on shift.
- Performing general household duties and maintenance such cleaning, vacuuming, and laundry; and also outside maintenance such as shovelling snow, cutting grass, and gardening.
- Maintaining/updating all required documentation such as scorecards, medical records, etc.
- Assisting clients with hygiene and personal care.
- Providing emotional support to clients and using de-escalation techniques to support clients.
- Supporting and assisting clients in maintaining appointments, activities, or programs.
- Monitoring client wellbeing, physical and mental condition closely and reporting concerns to supervisor. Accompanying clients to appointments as necessary.
- Liaising with families, guardians, professionals and other resource members of the client(s)’ support network, communicating relevant client information to other team members.
Requirements:
- HCA certificate from an institution recognized by Alberta health Services as evidenced through enrolment in the CLHA Directory is mandate.
- Maintain certification in First Aid and CPR Level C.
- Satisfactory current criminal record check.
