New Graduate Vet Program

New Graduate Vet Program
Introducing a three-month program to New Graduate Vet student to experience in an Advanced care 24 hours Hospital.
Day-to-day duties:
· Attend daily rounds conducted by the on-duty veterinary team; participate in morning and evening handovers with the veterinary nurse (VN) team for hospital inpatients.
· Calculate, prepare, and administer medications and nutritional support (including assisted feeding) to hospitalised patients.
· Perform routine veterinary technician tasks including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, urinary catheterisation, wound cleaning, bandaging, and TPR monitoring.
· Assist veterinarians with consultations, diagnostic imaging (X-rays, ultrasound positioning/assisting), and emergency procedures.
· Perform basic dental procedures including dental charting, scaling, polishing, and simple single-rooted tooth extractions under direct supervision.
· Perform routine in-house laboratory procedures (with senior review).
· Assist with incoming emergencies (triage, history, physical exam) under supervision.
· Communicate professionally with clients during supervised consultations; Cantonese-speaking assistants will provide translation support where needed.
Requirements:
· A degree in Veterinary Medicine.
· Previous emergency and critical care experience will be an advantage but not essential.
· Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, team player and good team spirit.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese. Including the ability to demonstrate high level of client education and communication.
Work Schedule:
· Day - Full time: 5 work week, 9.5 -10 hours per day with 1-hour lunch break
