Job Summary
This position will support the Health Science program which has seen substantial growth since the major began in 2022. The major attracted students quickly because it offers a degree for students interested in health care with a highly flexible curriculum. In addition, the curriculum focuses on clinical experiences. It has surpassed our initial enrollment estimates. The first year (2022), 17 students declared this as a major, and in 2025, the major supports over 150 students. In fact, the initial projections to MHEC estimated 44 students by Year 4, and this has clearly been exceeded with our current 150+ students. This major aligns with SU's strategic plan and goals, including Enriching Academic Success and Student Development.
