This key service position is responsible for: • Assisting in cleaning and maintaining the hotel daily in an efficient and timely manner. • Supporting Room Attendants by restocking supplies such as linens, glasses, and amenities. • Upholding the highest standards for cleanliness of guest-rooms and public areas, including service elevators, laundry, storage rooms, hallways, and stairwells. • Maintaining the floors and performing any assigned projects given by management. • Maintaining the lobby and dining areas. • Assisting Room Attendant by stripping any vacant or dirty rooms when necessary. • Moving furniture and moving garbage and waste. • Responding promptly to all guests requests and informing managers of deficiencies, low supply levels, and missing amenities. • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and standards, and ensure a clean and safe working environment. • Participates in the daily standup meetings. • Demonstrating appropriate Marriott service behaviours. • All other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for: • Proven ability to juggle many tasks, simultaneously while meeting deadlines. • An eye for detail and dedication to ‘doing things right the first time’. • Ability to be self-directed and work cooperatively within a team setting with minimum supervision. • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e., lifting up to 50-lbs, moving 75lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching, ). • Must be able to stand, walk and bend for 8 hours. • Secondary School Graduate Diploma • Must be tech savvy (i.e. cellphone) • Must be able to work evening and day shifts including weekends and holidays.
