Description
Nura is a physician-led interventional pain practice and a CPIhealth company. We deliver evidence-based, multidisciplinary care for chronic pain, combining medication management, physical therapy, behavioral health, and advanced minimally invasive procedures such as spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery. Nura is seeking a Surgical Implant Coordinator to join our team in Edina, Minnesota. This role is an essential part of our Implant Department, supporting both administrative and scheduling functions to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for our patients.
Essential Functions:
- Manage incoming calls and messages related to the implant department and route to appropriate staff.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including surgical and clinical visits.
- Generate reports and manage workflows to effectively schedule patient appointments.
- Maintain organization and accurately track patients throughout the complex implant authorization process.
- Scan and maintain implant-related medical records in the EHR system.
- Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to patients.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on the implant process and devices being trialed or implanted.
- Coordinate with device vendors to support patient education and ensure representative coverage for procedures and appointments.
- Communicate with internal departments through EHR tasking.
- Perform pre-operative coordination, including:
- Creating orders
- Contacting the PCP prior to pre-op and following up to obtain results
- Educating patients on required pre-op work
- Obtaining and forwarding results to the ordering provider for review
- Complete accurate and timely EHR documentation
- Assist with the training of other implant staff on job-specific duties.
- Attend required staff, educational, and training meetings.
- Read, follow, and apply all appropriate procedures and protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of Nura.
Requirements
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Pay: $52,000 - $65,000
