About the role 
This permanent part-time position in Doncaster East involves supporting people with high physical support needs. 

The successful candidate will be a dedicated and compassionate support worker who is experienced in providing high physical support and passionate about providing active support, encouraging independence and helping people achieve their goals and dreams. 

Please see below the set roster line available. You must be able to commit to one of the below:

• Roster split 51:00/48:00

 

Key responsibilities: 

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

• Experience with high physical support
• Confidence and experience in providing personal care
• A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities.
• The ability to develop a positive relationship with clients and to support their Individual Personal Plan.
• Cert IV in Disability or similar
• A current Senior First Aid (level 2) Certificate.
• A current unrestricted Driver Licence and willingness to drive a company van.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and an International Criminal History Record Check; if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia in the last 10 years.
