As a Senior Data Scientist within the EDB Pricing, you will be responsible for the development and management of models supporting the EDB business. This includes areas such as pricing decisioning, where our models help set up the optimal prices for millions of customers, and more generally any area where AI can add value to customer outcomes.
Here, you’ll be part of a high-performing team of data scientists that define data models to solve business problems, using the latest approaches to solve our customers’ most complex data-centric problems.

The Decision Science Pricing team within Retail Banking Services supports the Everyday Banking business through the development and maintenance of predictive models, creating insights to enable business decision making at a strategic and tactical level.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the development and management of key modelling assets within the team, with an objective to utilise state of the state art data science techniques to improve business and customer outcomes.
We are seeking people who can:
· Drive value through timely delivery of industry leading machine learning and statistical models that solve defined business issues.
· Commit to writing clean, efficient, well tested code following modern software engineering best practices.
· Advocate for improving model lifecycle processes, code quality, and deployment reliability within the team.
· Proactively contributing to and encouraging the sharing of knowledge with team members and stakeholders.
·Collaborate with product teams solve data problems and influence senior stakeholders.
We want to hear from you if you have:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI/ML, including leading end-to-end modelling projects.
· Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML model development.
· Hands-on experience with MLOps framework, CI/CD, version control, and model observability tools.
· Knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data pipeline construction, ensuring efficient data flow and integration.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to details and data accuracy.
· Excellent communication, teamwork abilities, and motivation to master new skills.
· A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
