Job Purpose:
Its purpose is to plan the contract manufacturing production programs, ensuring that the site's volumes are met; it places purchase orders for raw materials with the subsidiary to meet production demand. It communicates and proposes actions to reduce barriers that may affect the fulfillment of production programs.
Essential Responsibilities:
Generate work orders for the current and following week's production packages.Coordinate and communicate the period's production schedule with Supervisors, Manufacturing, and Product, ensuring up-to-date information on:
Work in process
Order volume
Available labor
Production time
Expected scrap levels
Machinery capacity and availability
Identify barriers that may affect production and adjust the schedule as needed.
Maintain constant communication with the Greenville plant to update information on scheduling, raw material inventories, tooling, and other factors that impact production plan fulfillment.
Define and monitor, along with the US team, metrics related to material availability, work in process, and order generation.
Keep daily and weekly production schedules updated for all lines.
Promptly communicate any changes in order priorities (advancements, changes, or cancellations) to supervisors.
Inform the US plant about actual production volume vs. projected volume. The expected and on bottlenecks that may cause delays, as well as their causes.
Manage and update production-related ERP information to ensure reliable data that supports reporting and decision-making.
