About the role
Are you an experienced Account Manager or Business Consultant with technical expertise in trade waste or similar highly regulated industry? This is an excellent opportunity to join our Business Customer Accounts’ team as a Trade Waste Account Manager.
This senior, field-based role will build trusted partnerships with Sydney Water’s most complex and high-value business customers—those who need tailored, non-standard servicing solutions. Based at St Marys, you’ll be largely field based, regularly visiting customer sites and Sydney Water depots to deliver strategic support and expert guidance.
You’ll play a key role in identifying and presenting opportunities to introduce innovative, unregulated products and services that drive better outcomes. From boosting customer engagement to improving water efficiency, trade waste management, and sustainability, your work will help shape smarter, more resilient water solutions across our network.
Note: This role will be titled Business Customer Consultant for internal purposes.

About you:
The successful candidate will possess or have the foundations to develop technical expertise in wastewater treatment systems and backflow prevention. You will leverage your strong communication and negotiation skills to engage with senior stakeholders, foster strategic partnerships, and deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.
In addition to tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, and a valid driver’s licence, we are looking for:
