POSITION SUMMARY
The QMS Auditor is responsible for conducting independent, risk-based assessments of global Quality Management System (QMS) processes to ensure compliance, identify systemic risks, and drive sustained process effectiveness. This role enables standardization, continuous improvement, and governance visibility across the enterprise by validating that processes are defined, deployed, executed, and effective in protecting product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute risk-based internal audits, and processes to assess compliance and effectiveness.
- Evaluate process effectiveness and maturity, ensuring controls are preventive and consistently executed
- Identify systemic risks and gaps across core QMS business processes, differentiating between localized issues and enterprise-level weaknesses.
- Document and communicate audit findings with clear evidence-based observations, findings and risk prioritization.
- Drive and verify corrective actions (RCCA/CAPA), ensuring true root cause identification and sustainable resolution.
- Validate effectiveness of corrective actions through data, follow-up audits, and performance trends.
- Monitor and report audit performance and systemic trends to Global Quality leadership, supporting governance and management review.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and requirements, including ISO 9001, regulatory, and customer-specific quality systems requirements
- Provide auditor training to site and functional resources to ensure consistent application of audit methodologies and QMS requirements.
- Provide support and guidance for external quality systems audits, ensuring audit readiness, effective execution, and timely, sustainable responses to findings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a QMS role.
- Certified Internal Auditor
- Working knowledge of ISO-9001 standard requirements.
- Demonstrated experience conducting process-based internal audits in a global, multifunctional environment.
- Proven ability to drive sustainable corrective actions (RCCA / CAPA) and verify effectiveness.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document clear, objective audit findings.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and prioritize systemic global process risks.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISO 9000 Lead Auditor Certification.
- Demonstrated capability in auditor training, coaching, and QMS capability development across site and functional quality teams.
- Experience in a global, multi-site industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and advanced risk-based quality methodologies
