Senior Product Owner, App Core Services

We’re looking for a Senior Product Owner - App Core Services to join our Digital Channels Product team and play a key role in shaping and growing our native iOS and Android apps experiences and their overall performance. The role guides channel framework for our apps and ensure apps front-end efforts are aligned with Digital Channels’ overall goals and long-term product vision. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll plan app-exclusive features, translate business and player needs into clear priorities, guide roadmap execution and releases, and ensure measurable improvements to the app core services experience in line with Veikkaus’ commitment to responsible and sustainable gaming. The role also oversees our app store presence on Apple and Google, and involves close collaboration with Product, Marketing, UX, Tech, and Data teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and oversee the roadmap and performance of our apps.
• Own and manage the app core services product backlog and oversee priorities to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term objectives.
• Plan app launches and updates and manage our app store presence on Apple and Google, overseeing performance and compliance in close collaboration with business and commercial stakeholders. 
• Collaborate in defining and prioritizing app core services requirements (including app-exclusive features) aligned with business objectives and customer goals.
• Gather and translate complex front-end requirements and business needs into actionable epics that align with long-term roadmap while enabling short-term delivery.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure delivery outcomes match business strategy.
• Monitor and analyze key metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement in app engagement and app store performance. 
• Contribute to long-term planning for the evolution of our digital channels, supporting scalable, responsible, and innovative player experiences. 
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, UX, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of agreed high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience driving mobile apps and multi-platform products, with strong knowledge of app stores and iOS/Android requirements. 
• Strong experience in product ownership or business analysis with front-end focus.
• Strong skills in backlog management, requirements translation, and cross-functional coordination.
• Deep expertise in app-first products and engagement models, with experience managing and growing iOS and Android apps, including app store processes and performance metrics. 
• Experience with agile delivery practices and customer journey optimization.
• Experience in the iGaming industry is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Digital Strategy, Product Management, or related field.

The position is located at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work in a flexible hybrid model, and the role can also be performed remotely from Malta or Stockholm/Sweden.
