Responsibilities & Duties:
General plant labor and clean up of production areas; observe, monitor and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity.
Trained in various entry-level production positions and fills in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands.
Perform kiln outage work including removal and installation of kiln refractory.
Report equipment problems identified to management.
Complete equipment pre-shift report, if applicable.
Clean work areas.
Shovel stone from around conveyors.
Maintain bathroom facilities.
Operate small front end loader.
Replace or assist other workers as needed or directed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED.
Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including nights & weekends, etc.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
