Responsibilities:
Manage the raw materials piles, ensuring piles are left in workable conditions.
Supplies raw materials to plant with front-end loader
Assists Kiln Operator
Loads and samples trucks
Takes product samples and makes routine analysis
Performs visual inspections and auditory checks on operating equipment
Performs various clean-up work – physical manual labour will be involved
Recognizes problems with equipment and initiates corrective action.
Work on different shifts as necessary to backfill other positions throughout the facility.
Performs other jobs as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid Ontario driver's license.
Must have a grade 12 education or equivalent.
Must have good math and communication skills
Working knowledge of the Carmeuse site, its products, the process, the equipment / machinery, etc. would be a plus.
Must have the qualifications or the capability to learn to operate the following mobile equipment: Loaders, Back-Hoe, Fork Truck, Water truck, etc.
Must have the ability to understand and operate all lime / pulverized lime loading equipment.
Must be capable of organizing daily operations to meet required customer shipments and specifications to perform all aspects of truck loading.
Must be capable of sampling, testing and clean-up requirements.
Must be able to perform the duties of this position, work efficiently, organize duties and be capable of working with a minimum of supervision.
Must be able to issue and receive verbal and written instructions and make written/electronic reports, log entries etc.
Ability to transition to a Kiln Operator position.
