The Treasury – Operation Payment Specialist plays a key role in supporting the disbursement of Payments for the EMEA region as well as assisting with the management of the organization’s financial assets and operations. This role focuses on the disbursement of cash and processing payment for the region. The role will assist with cash management, forecasting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payment Disbursement:
- Process the weekly AP payment batches and release them to bank.
- Input and management of manual payment requests.
- Process of payment on multiple ERP’s including SAP & Business Central.
- Enter and execute fund transfers, payments, and settlements accurately and in a timely manner.
- Compile and manage the End-to-End payment processing procedures.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets.
- Work with Treasury Director & Treasury Analyst to ensure optimal liquidity for the Region.
- Investigate payments
Forecasting and Analysis:
- Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support liquidity management.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and deviations from forecasts.
Cash Management:
- Act as back up to Treasury Analyst with daily Cash Management operations.
- Monitor daily cash positions to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Assist in the management of cash pooling arrangements and intercompany funding.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and international payment regulations.
- Assist with audits by preparing the required documentation and responding to inquiries.
Reporting:
- Assist with preparation of and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile treasury-related transactions.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline payment processes and enhance efficiency.
Other:
- Assist ongoing treasury projects/activities
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Alternatively 1 -2 years of experience in treasury, payments, or accounting roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Banking platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
