The Production engineering department, a global & progressive wing under Technology & Innovation division of Milacron, is currently seeking strong, results-oriented candidates for the position of Manufacturing Engineering Analyst/Engineer II for its all-electric machines at India. This role will be responsible for leading and executing advanced mechanical design activities for injection molding machines. It focuses on developing robust, high-performance machine designs, providing deep technical expertise, and supporting standardization, problem-solving & innovation across the lifecycle of injection molding equipment.
The role focuses on leading a technical function of mechanical engineering including, designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems, components, and products. This role is responsible for technical excellence, project delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring that engineering activities meet the functional goals for quality, safety, reliability, and innovation.
Work you will do
• Mechanical Design & Development - Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for injection molding machines • Perform concept development, detailed design, calculations. • Prepare and review engineering drawings, BOMs, Q-tables, technical specifications, and design documents. • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for complex field issues, quality concerns, and performance gaps. • Perform engineering calculations • Standardization & Continuous Improvement - Drive activities for machine modules, components, and design practices. • Selection of ball screw, liner guideways, bearings, timing belts • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, weight optimization, and manufacturability improvement • Support value engineering and localization initiatives. • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with manufacturing, Sales, Sourcing, Quality, Service, and Controls teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth product industrialization. • Provide technical support to suppliers and review supplier designs and drawings when required. • Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes. • Documentation & Compliance • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (ISO, CE, safety norms, etc.). • Maintain design documentation and change management records.
Team: India Engineering – Production Qualifications Education: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience: 5+ years of mechanical/product engineering experience Strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, materials, and industrial standards. Injection molding machine experience preferred; All electric machine exposure is an advantage
Technical Skills: Creo / AutoCAD proficiency Experience with engineering calculations and simulation tools Selection of ball screw, bearings, timing belt, linear guideways, servo motors PLM + ERP familiarity required (Windchill & Oracle E1 preferred) Proficiency in creating business presentations, MS excel & other office/soft tools Behavioral Competencies - Ownership & accountability - Structured problem-solving mindset - Clear technical communication Work Environment Office and manufacturing shop floor environment. Occasional field/customer visits for troubleshooting. Exposure to global engineering collaboration or customer-facing technical support. Willingness to work on legacy products and new development programs.
