As the Talent & Development Business Partner - Manufacturing, your main responsibility is to assist our production team in a fast paced manufacturing environment. You provide support and co-ordinate in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of Human Resources for all team members. Responsibilities include Employee Relations; Health and Safety; Recruitment, Training, Time and Attendance and other tasks as required. Previous experience in a human resources manufacturing environment is essential.

Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the HR Business Partner for plant operations, acting as a key liaison between Operations, Team Members (agency and full-time), and HR/Talent & Development
- Lead all temporary agency relationships, including communication, performance feedback, and alignment with company policies and initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to Operations Leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
- Partner with plant leadership to forecast workforce needs and execute staffing plans for critical production roles
- Oversee recruitment coordination with agencies, ensuring candidates meet skill, availability, and cultural fit requirements
- Monitor and manage agency staffing orders; provide ongoing feedback to improve candidate quality and fulfillment
- Collaborate with Health & Safety to promote a strong safety culture; participate in training, audits, and committee activities
- Act as a Health & Safety advocate, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage onboarding and training documentation for key production roles
- Support performance management processes, including coaching leaders and participating in employee evaluations
- Resolve payroll, timekeeping, and invoicing issues for hourly and agency team members; oversee time & attendance systems
- Analyze agency and staffing challenges; develop continuous improvement plans with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor and support site coordinators and HR team members
- Partner cross-functionally to troubleshoot operational and people-related challenges
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Experience
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, HR policies, employment standards, and best practices
- Experience managing agency workforce and high-volume staffing environments
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety programs; prior H&S committee experience required
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office tools
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Health & Safety certification considered an asset
