Job DetailsJob Location: Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082The primary purpose of this position is to provide assigned residents with routine nursing care in accordance with established nursing care procedures, facility policies, and the standard scope of practice for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Care is provided under the direction of licensed nursing staff and supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established standards of care, facility policies, and procedures.
Participate in resident admission, transfer, and discharge processes as directed.
Participate in the implementation of the resident’s plan of care.
Maintain awareness of and adhere to each resident’s individualized plan of care.
Perform dietary and food service functions for residents in accordance with policies and procedures.
Perform all duties in a safe, sanitary, and infectioncontrol compliant manner.
Demonstrate proper use, care, and handling of equipment and supplies.
Accurately document required information on daily flow sheets and electronic medical records.
Maintain acceptable attendance; notify the charge nurse in a timely manner when unable to report to work to allow staff replacement; and comply with facility dress code requirements.
Attend and participate in required inservices, meetings, lectures, and training programs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must possess a current BLS/CPR certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to speak and understand the English language in a clear and understandable manner.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Must be able to see and hear or use assistive devices that enable these senses to function adequately to meet job requirements.
Must be able to work effectively with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and occasionally hostile individuals.
Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must be free from communicable diseases, as required by law and facility policy.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and listen. The employee may occasionally be required to reach hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, push wheelchairs, and lift or move supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff in person and by phone.
