About Future Fund
At the Future Fund, we’re for future minds – like yours. The new investors and creators who thrive on different thinking and doing it together. Those who glimpse opportunity before it strikes and step up every day to grab it.
The Future Fund is Australia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, managing over $340 billion across seven public asset funds with the same purpose: growing Australia’s future. We are a global investor and work closely with world leading investment organisations to access the best investment ideas.
Where others see challenges, we see more interesting investment experiences. Every person, every skillset, every mindset is an asset. We’ve got every future generation to consider, yet our approach to investing is incredibly pure: we think about it deeply, and daily. Ours is a culture where great people grow the future together, with the rare ability to work collaboratively, think freely, and make a real difference.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Manager, Investment Platforms to help shape the strategy, governance and delivery of the Agency’s third-party investment platforms within our Investment Technology function.
This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of Investments, Data, Operations and Technology — working closely with Investment Teams, senior investment leaders, and our DOT partners to ensure our platforms are well-governed, resilient, optimised and aligned to Investment priorities.
You’ll be part of a dedicated horizontal capability for third-party platforms, responsible for defining the platform target state, setting governance and operating models, co-managing vendor relationships (with IDM), and leading specialist delivery in a live investment environment. This role is reporting to the Senior Manager, Platform Strategy, and you’ll also lead up to two direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to and execute the platform roadmap for third-party investment platforms, aligned to long-term Agency strategy
Work with Investment Teams and DOT to define, prioritise and sequence platform capability uplift (balancing local needs with scalable enterprise solutions)
Help establish and evolve platform governance, ownership and operating models (including initiative pipeline and roadmaps)
Act as a trusted advisor to Investment Teams on how to get the most out of third-party platforms to support decision-making and portfolio management
Partner with Investments to shape requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose platform solutions, ensuring a single, coherent engagement across DOT
Lead and coordinate delivery across strategic programs, business-led projects and BAU enhancements — with strong tracking, reporting and transparency
Ensure solutions meet non-functional expectations (security, availability, reliability, recoverability, usability) and are operationally supported once live
Drive strong governance discipline — ensuring initiatives are reviewed, endorsed and approved through the right forums
Build trusted relationships across Investments and DOT (including Investment Delivery & Platforms, Security, IDM and Investment Operations)
Maintain a clear view of emerging Investment platform and data needs, and translate them into prioritised action
Co-manage key vendor relationships with IDM, ensuring performance, clarity of accountability and alignment with Future Fund objectives
About You
You’re someone who enjoys working to bring clarity, structure and momentum to a complex ecosystem of investors, data, platforms and delivery teams. You bring a practical, hands-on style, strong judgement, and the confidence to lead across stakeholders who are time-poor and highly expert.
You bring:
Significant experience delivering technology and data solutions for investment management teams, with a solid understanding of core investment concepts and workflows
Hands-on experience with enterprise investment platforms (for example Aladdin or similar), including configuration, data flows, integrations and supporting users in production
Strong capability in governance, prioritisation and delivery across multiple concurrent demands
Confidence facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholders across Investments and Technology
Strong relationship-building and communication skills — able to translate complexity into clear direction and practical next steps
Experience working with modern delivery approaches and integration patterns (data flows, system integration, user experience considerations)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Commerce or similar
Desirable: finance qualification (e.g. CFA)
