Role Summary
Due to continued growth, Boswell is seeking additional Inspectors/ Engineers to learn and grow with our Northern NJ Highways Construction Teams. These growth-oriented positions require a combination of Civil Engineering education and experience working in Civil Engineering Construction (preferably a combination of professional Internships and actual construction site experience) as follows:
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site inspection of various heavy highway, bridge rehabilitation/replacement, paving projects, and drainage projects
Daily inspection on multiple, complex, large, and/or diverse projects in order to ensure contractor’s operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents
Complete daily inspection reports
Prepare as-built drawings and assemble data for Field Engineer to utilize when making changes to the project
Assist Engineers and Inspectors in compliance, site safety, contract specific requirements, and reporting any deviations
Assure general compliance with Client/ Authority's standards and specifications
Combination of both office and field duties
Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree program in civil engineering including coursework in surveying, civil engineering construction, construction materials and procedures, Safety/ OSHA is required.
Strongly preferred: Minimum of 3 months of work experience and/ or a professional Internship in highway, road or other civil engineering related construction (asphalt and/ or concrete paving experience is preferred) in addition to the following education
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Regularly required to walk, stand, crouch, stoop, and navigate challenging terrain.
Frequent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of equipment and materials weighing up to 60+ pounds (e.g., monuments, manhole covers, and tripods).
Ability to maintain mobility over rough, uneven, or slippery surfaces for the duration of a shift.

Salary Range: $68,000.00 – $72,000.00 / Year
