Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Compensation: Salary + Commission
What You Will Do:
The Used Car Buyer oversees inventory readiness, reconditioning workflows, and internal coordination. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the reconditioning process for used and inventory vehicles.
- Supervise lot attendants and photographers to maintain inventory organization and presentation.
- Partner with Vin Solutions and the General Manager to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Review and approve or deny requested work on Used Vehicle Inspection (UVI) reports.
- Coordinate post‑sale reconditioning and service follow‑up.
- Conduct thorough VIN inspections and ensure accurate documentation.
- Work closely with Service and the Business Office to prepare vehicles for delivery.
- Create and affix all required vehicle stickers and disclosures.
- Verify accuracy of online vehicle listings, features, and specifications.
- Assist with repossession coordination and compliance when applicable.
- Manage the Key Track system to ensure secure key accountability.
- Serve as the initial point of contact if dealership alarms are triggered.
- Support audits with finance partners such as Ally.
- Code and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Purchase and pick up parts as needed.
- Coordinate vehicle and parts transport with dealers and vendors.
- Serve as reconditioning software administrator and ensure data accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3 years previous Used Car Buyer experience required.
- Certified in Auction Access and Million Number
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Available to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Self-starter mentality and ambitious spirit.
- Ready to waste no time on learning new product ins and outs, eager to improve.
- Phenomenal communication skills with customers and team members.
- Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
