Job Description:
We're looking for a hands-on coordinator to run our test field and prototyping operations in Bulgaria, supporting the development of UAV (drone) protection systems. You'll take ownership of our test site, 3D printers, tooling, and the logistics of components and materials that keep our counter-drone solution moving from prototype to deployment. This role is ideal for someone who'd rather solve problems themselves than outsource them, and who thrives when no two days look the same.

A collaborative, English-speaking international team
Exposure to the full product lifecycle, from prototype to field installation
Professional development in emerging defense-tech fields
Room to shape how this function is built as we scale
Key Responsibilities
Run our test site day-to-day and ensure everything needed for testing is in place and operational
Manage inventory of components, materials, and tools, keeping equipment in good working condition
Handle procurement and international logistics for parts and components, including customs where relevant
Own the operation and maintenance of our 3D printers and other fabrication/assembly equipment
Support prototyping and small-series assembly of counter-drone hardware
Collaborate with our international team in English
Use modern AI assistants to accelerate day-to-day work
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Hands-on experience in at least one of: facility or test-site management, international logistics/procurement, 3D printing and additive manufacturing, or equipment testing and certification
Good written and spoken English for daily team communication
Self-motivated, able to work independently and prioritise across parallel tasks
Practical problem-solver who enjoys technical challenges
Eligibility to work in Bulgaria and willingness to travel occasionally (e.g., to Darmstadt or installation sites)
Desirable Skills
Experience assembling small electronic/mechanical equipment across the full cycle: procurement, assembly, certification, maintenance
Familiarity with AI assistants such as Claude
Interest in robotics, drones, or autonomous systems
Experience in fast-growing teams with shifting timelines
Working knowledge of Bulgarian regulations relevant to this role (import, dual-use goods, workplace safety)
Bulgarian language skills (for dealing with local suppliers and authorities)
Previous experience working in or with a German company
