The Roles We are currently seeking a Level 2 Control Systems Engineers to join our team and support the delivery of advanced industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, EMPS) that enable safe, reliable, and efficient energy operations.

This role is suited to an experienced engineer ready to take ownership of control system solutions. You will independently design, develop, and implement PLC, SCADA, and EMPS systems, contributing to system optimisation and project delivery. You’ll also support integration across engineering and operational environments while driving continuous improvement.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering impactful projects in a dynamic and evolving energy environment.

Location & Travel

This is a Remote or Hybrid position. Expected travel up to 30-40% for site visits, to meet role requirements.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop control system solutions for defined scopes.
• Produce and review design documentation (e.g. FDS, control narratives, I/O lists).
• Execute commissioning activities for defined systems or project scopes.
• Support project delivery across all phases, including design, implementation, testing, and handover.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration with operational systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise control systems to ensure reliable performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, safety requirements, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or related discipline.
• 3+ years experience designing and implementing PLC/SCADA/DCS systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs.
• Exposure to programming (any language; PLC exposure advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
