The mountain is your office… An incredible permanent leadership opportunity has arisen at Coronet Peak Ski Area. The Assistant Ski Area Manager reports into the Ski Area Manager and is responsible for delivering awesome customer service across the ski area with the support of the wider leadership team.
If you have commercial and operational experience across a broad spectrum of businesses, a strong focus on health & safety and the proven ability to see the big picture and improve from it then we’d love to hear from you. We are broadening our product and diversifying our operational range at Coronet Peak as we look forward and need a strong operational leader to support this vision.
About the Role:
• Leadership: lead by example and continually challenge how we operate. Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills, along with the ability to problem solve and adapt to an ever-changing work environment. • Management: Demonstrate continual improvement of on mountain product, outstanding presentation, Time 2 Snow, SOPs, operational capability, operational reliability seeking out potential opportunities. • Health & Safety: Lead H&S culture to enhance safe operating procedures and best practise for health and wellbeing at Coronet Peak. • Guest Service: Continually assessing guest exposure to product range and presentation, constantly reviewing level of engagement of staff and reinforcement of Coronet Peak’s personality. Demonstrated capability to lead customer-facing operations effectively and to make the changes required to increase customer satisfaction. • Product diversity and Operational Reliability: Demonstrate accurate and informed decision-making processes around the operational status and identify opportunities. Work with your peers across NZSki to improve customer touch points that set standards of excellence. About You:
You will have a well-rounded understanding of the guest experience expectation in a number of business situations; it would be an advantage if this included snow. Are happy to work in a business which is frequently operating seven days a week with shifts required to cover longer days operations.
You will have at least 5 years’ experience in an adventure operations. Specifically involving effective operating processes, proven success in bringing teams of people on a journey with you and using data to support your assumptions and business cases
You will also have a minimum 3 years leadership experience in operational roles and a positive and supportive approach to Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
