Job Description:
- Lead end‑to‑end trade support and lifecycle management for equity derivatives and financing products, including SBL, equity repo, equity swaps, vanilla and exotics options, structured notes, cash equities and listed derivatives (F&O), covering trade capture, lifecycle events (rolls, resets, recalls/returns, exercises/expiries, rate changes, corporate actions) and position close‑out.
- Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, allocation, confirmation, settlement and regulatory reporting such as HKTR; perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions and cash, and promptly resolve breaks, fails and discrepancies. Drive root cause analysis and control enhancement
- Own key front‑to‑back controls and operational risk management, acting as the senior escalation point for complex or high‑risk exceptions while remaining hands‑on with BAU where needed.
- Drive platform and process enhancements by defining requirements, participating in testing and partnering with Technology / Change to improve STP, efficiency and the control environment.
- Partner closely with Technology and Change to identify, design and implement process and system enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce manual touchpoints, strengthen the control environment and support new products and business initiative
- Produce data and trend analysis, regulatory and internal MIS/KRI reports, and act as a key contact for audits, regulatory reviews and other assurance activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in middle office, trade support or operations in an investment bank or securities firm, with strong exposure to equity derivatives and equity financing.
- Deep understanding of equity derivatives and financing product mechanics and trade lifecycle, including lifecycle events, collateral and margining, settlement flows and corporate action impacts.
- Proven VP‑level experience managing high‑risk exceptions and complex investigations, with a strong control and risk mindset and effective partnership with Front Office, Risk, Finance and Technology.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills; experienced in process/control improvement and use of Excel and other analytical tools.
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related discipline; good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.
