About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef - Pastry – Kitchen to join Jumeirah The Red Sea.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering efficient, courteous, and attentive service that exceeds expectations.
• Assists the Head Pastry Chef to Supervise all the section(s) of Pastry kitchen, ensuring all tasks are executed to the highest standards.
• Implement and monitor cost control measures, minimizing waste while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Consistently evaluate food preparation and presentation to ensure high levels of quality, taste, and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards, including HACCP procedures.
• Monitor team members’ grooming and professional conduct, providing coaching.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment.
• Experience in chocolate work, room amenities, wedding cakes, and artistic pastry creation, GCC experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in supervising Pastry kitchen operations and maintaining high culinary standards.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
• Certification in Food Safety and HACCP.
