

Job Summary
The Portfolio Banker works closely with Relationship Managers and Regional Relationship Manager to evaluate the financial information and needs of prospective and existing borrowers. The Portfolio Banker is responsible for the gathering and analyzing commercial real estate financials, credit information, conducting extensive in-depth company and industry analysis, and performing due diligence to evaluate risk/return parameters of financing transactions. This position requires direct experience in investor real estate underwriting and asset management to prepare credit memos and annual loan reviews. This individual provides expertise in analyzing, structuring, and underwriting varying levels of complex loan products (including bridge, & construction loans), which includes analyzing property rent rolls, financial statements, cash flows , and valuations. The Portfolio Banker regularly interfaces with Clients, Relationship Managers, Regional Relationship Managers, Credit Administrators and Senior Management, and provides recommendations relating to credit extension decisions and credit risk rating decisions. Post loan boarding duties include following for financial reporting and financial covenant compliance and monitoring financial trends of borrowers, property valuations, and market conditions. The Portfolio Banker is usually designated as the secondary point of contact for specific relationships and is to provide exemplary service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties
The requirements of this position have not been identified to include actions or activities that meet the definition of mortgage loan originator (MLO) under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E Act). At such time the position requirements change to meet the definition of a mortgage loan originator, an active and current loan originator ID issued through the National Mortgage Licensing System Registry will be required as a mandatory requirement of this position.
Required Knowledge
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.
