Description
To support the continued growth of our Employee Tax Compliance team in Leiden, the Netherlands, we are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Tax Compliance Officer.
As part of our team of tax return specialists, you will bring structure and overview to our tax compliance practice. You will coordinate planning activities and provide administrative and organisational support to the team, ensuring that our services to clients run smoothly and efficiently.
What a typical day looks like...
- Creating and maintaining client records in our client management system;
- Coordinating agreed client services with your colleagues;
- Managing applications for extensions of filing deadlines with the Tax Authorities;
- Tracking the status and progress of tax returns and critical deadlines;
- Proactively keeping the team informed about planning and priorities;
- Reviewing outgoing correspondence for language quality, completeness and consistency;
- Monitoring key deadlines and identifying potential bottlenecks;
- And contributing wherever you can make a difference for the team.

- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- An MBO‑4 or HBO diploma;
- 0–5 years of work experience in an administrative role;
- Strong skills in prioritising, planning and organisation, even with multiple deadlines;
- An accurate and quality‑focused working style;
- A service‑oriented and client‑focused attitude;
- Affinity with (international) tax compliance work is an advantage.
