Description
As we grow our global footprint, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of the design, implementation, and support of our infrastructure, cloud, and networking platforms, with security as a core priority. The position will offer technical leadership and act as the primary escalation point for the Systems Engineers.
On a typical day, it looks like this...
- Monitor and resolve server and network issues to keep our systems performing at their best.
- Own patching, Group Policy, and core platform maintenance.
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and other security tooling.
- Analyse security alerts, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement.
- Run security audits, risk assessments, and help develop modern, practical security policies.
- Work with internal teams to deliver secure, compliant solutions across the business.
- Support platform‑related projects and act as a technical escalation for the Service Desk.
- Build strong relationships with external partners and guide Systems Engineers when required.

You’ll ideally have:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Senior IT Infrastructure or similar role.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, and at least 3 years with Microsoft Sentinel.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and core security technologies.
- Solid experience with Nutanix hyperconverged solutions and Microsoft SQL.
- A strong grasp of IT policy frameworks, risk management, and compliance best practices.
- Proven capability in cloud security and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication, analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
- The ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and support wider teams.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
- Bonus: Microsoft security certifications such as SC‑200, SC‑300, SC‑400, SC‑900, or MAZ‑500.
