Working in the Data Team
Working in the Data Team means providing a single source of truth for Wyre. By measuring business performance and driving data maturity across the organization, our team provides the needed insight to support the continued growth of Wyre.
Your Role as Team Manager of the Data team
As Team Manager of the Data Team, you are the guardian of Wyre’s data foundations and the driving force behind datadriven decisionmaking. You ensure that Wyre operates with a single source of truth, that data quality remains consistently high, and that reporting is standardized, scalable, and trusted across the organization.
KPI & Reporting Ownership
- You act as the authority on Wyre’s official KPI set, ensuring a single, consistent source of truth for business performance and SLT target tracking.
- You oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of KPI definitions, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment across all domains.
- You ensure timely, accurate, and consistent KPI reporting for strategic and operational stakeholders.
- Data Strategy & Governance Leadership
- You define and manage Wyre’s data strategy and architecture to help Wyre realize its business objectives.
- You own and enforce Wyre’s data standards, definitions, tools, and processes, ensuring consistency and reliability across the organization.
- You define and maintain the data governance framework, ensuring that data is managed in a structured, compliant, and scalable way.
- You prevent “shadow reporting” by embedding central standards while maintaining strong relationships with business leads.
Cross Functional Data Steering
- You collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure data supports decisionmaking, planning, and performance management.
- You translate business needs into structured data requirements and ensure alignment across teams.
- You act as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT, Engineering, and Transformation to ensure data is embedded in every major initiative.
Data Quality Management
- You monitor data integrity issues, lead rootcause analysis, and ensure sustainable resolution.
- You maintain a highquality dataset that supports analytics, reporting, and operational processes.
- You ensure data lineage, traceability, and documentation are consistently maintained.
Data Maturity Development
- You drive the adoption of datadriven practices across Wyre.
- You guide teams toward standardized, scalable reporting and analytics.
- You promote a culture of data literacy and empower stakeholders to use data effectively.
Team Leadership
- You lead a multidisciplinary data team (data analysts, data engineers, reporting specialists…).
- You set priorities, manage capacity, and ensure timely delivery of insights and KPI reporting.
- You coach and develop your team, ensuring strong onboarding, continuous learning, and longterm growth.
- You create a diverse, highperforming team capable of supporting Wyre’s operational, tactical, and strategic needs.
Our Ideal Team Manager – Data
- Has at least 5 years of experience in data governance, reporting, analytics, or data management, including team leadership.
- Holds a master’s degree in a business, data, or technology domain – or equivalent experience with strong industry insights.
- Ideally has experience in the ICT/telecom sector.
- Possesses strong data architecture and governance skills.
- Has deep expertise in data reporting, visualization, and KPI frameworks.
- Can enforce central standards while maintaining strong relationships with business leads.
- Demonstrates analytical rigor, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability in reporting.
- Has proven capability in guiding, coaching, and prioritizing work for a mediumsized data team.
- Is a strong driver of change and adoption, promoting data maturity across the organization.
- Communicates clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- English is key; Dutch is an asset.
